In 2005, the Ducati Sporting Club organised a Ducati only series entitled DesmoDue. Based around the 600cc and 620cc engined Ducatis such as the Monster and Supersport, a highly competitive series evolved with the main aim being to make it easy and affordable for people to have a go at racing. The series’ popularity was such that in 2006 the grid was split into 2 classes. Class A is for the 620cc machines, whilst Class B is for the older 600cc bikes.
Modifications are very limited meaning that all the bikes are within a few bhp of each other and the performance is very much down to the rider.
In 2005 Cornerspeed prepared a few of the competitors machines but in 2006 we decided to become more involved and "Team Cornerspeed" was created.
Phil "Fil2" Huntley competed a 600SS in class B and Tim "Rattler" Howard entered a 620 Monster in class A.
The 2006 season saw Phil win class B, and Tim finish 4th in Class A.
2007 saw Team Cornerspeed compete one bike. Lee Bown competed in Class B in his first ever venture into road racing. After a steady start, Lee finished 6th overall with his first pole at the final round at Cadwell Park.

Our thanks go out to our sponsors for the 2007 season:

2008 sees Team Cornerspeed back up to 2 bikes. Andy Sheppard will compete in class A and Lee Bown will compete class B. Our best wishes go to both of them for the coming season.
